To create the acceptance test from the viewpoint of the customer, the development, testing, and customer team members work together in collaboration. Hence, it is a very customer-centered methodology.
  • Dynamic Software Development Method (DSDM) – Another effective agile software testing methodology. It is a Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach that offers a delivery framework to agile projects for developing and maintaining systems. The Dynamic Software Development Method can be used by users, development, and testing teams.

Challenges of Agile Software Testing

The testing team may generally encounter several challenges while doing agile software testing as follows:

  • Last Minute Change – The most common challenge encountered by test engineers when conduction agile testing are last-minute client changes, which give the testing team very little time to build the test plan and may have an impact on the product’s quality.
  • Tools Selection – Choosing the right tools for agile testing is crucial since doing otherwise would result in time and money losses.
  • Lack of Documentation – The absence of documentation is another challenge encountered when conducting agile testing. Given that documentation is given less weight and ultimately places more responsibility on the testing team, the likelihood of mistake is higher.
  • Repeated Coding Modifications – In an agile methodology, requirement update and modification are vital, which makes them the main difficulty for the quality assurance team.
  • Limited Test Coverage – In agile testing, new features are introduced rapidly, reducing the amount of time that testing teams have to determine if the newest additions are in line with requirements and take into account business needs.
